Can anyone tell me if there are any surviving registers of people insured with this company? Particularly relating to the fire disaster [8 cottages] at Ide in 1864.
Note - I have already seen the item from 'Trewin's Exeter Flying Post' of 9.11.1864.

Phil,

Most of the records were destroyed when their headquarters building was destroyed in the Blitz. They were later merged with the company which has become Aviva. Perhaps they may know of any surviving records?
